Creativity isn't reserved for artists, and it isn't something you're either born with or not. It's a skill anyone can build, and you can use it everywhere: at work, at home, in a side project, or on the problem you've been stuck on for months.
The Creativity Handbook for Everyone is a practical, illustrated field guide to building that skill. Short chapters pair ideas with hands-on activities, grounded in research on how curiosity, focus and flow actually work. Create Shaun shows up throughout to point you to 30+ free extensions along the way.
Whether you're starting fresh, getting unstuck, or ready to make more, it meets you where you are.

Whatever the case, don’t be precious with the pages! This was created to be your handbook or field guide. It’s small enough to stick in your pocket and flexible enough to roll-up and jam into a bag.
Highlight passages. Take notes and make drawings in the margins, on activities, and on the many blank pages. Fold corners to mark your spot or tear those pages out!
Many chapters include companion exercises. Just look for your creative buddy, Shaun (Mr. Create Shaun, if you want to be formal). When he shows up, scan the QR code to access the full creativity extension online. Browse all 30+ extensions

I've been making things my whole life, starting with a green crayon and a trip to the emergency room.
For more than 30 years I've led creative work and mentored the people doing it. I co-founded Territory, a design consultancy, where I head up creative and get to work alongside some of the most brilliant people in the world. A big part of that job is coaching, for our staff and our clients, and helping someone get an idea out of their head and into the world is still my favorite part.
The biggest barrier I see isn't ability. It's fear. I never had a guide, so I wrote one.
It all starts with a conversation. No pitch. No pressure.
